Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD, Aspergers, all commonly referred to as ‘Autism’ everyone has heard the terms and think they know what Autism is, but do they really? Individuals on the autism spectrum are that, individuals! The workshop will discuss the various behaviour traits that individuals with autism may display in certain situations and difficulties associated with the diagnosis. It will also provide a better understand of the diagnosis as well as providing strategies for support.
Target Audience: Parents of children diagnosed with Autism, under suspicion of Autism or related disorder. Professionals from both the statutory and voluntary sector supporting children/young people with autism and their families.
PEAT has been delivering Autism Intervention, Support and Training across Northern Ireland for 20 years.
